16-Year-Old Arrested for 18 Liquor Mart Thefts

WINNIPEG – A 16-year-old male, who police believe is responsible for many Liquor Mart thefts between June 16, 2018, and September 18, 2018.

Police said the suspect went to various Liquor Mart locations around the city. He would often enter the store, select several liquor bottles and leave without making any attempt to pay. It’s believed approximately $19,270 worth of alcohol was stolen over the course of 18 incidents.

During one incident on July 4, 2018, a Liquor Mart employee was verbally threatened.

On October 8th police arrested the 16-year-old male on Banning Street. He has been charged with theft and robbery-related offences.
