WINNIPEG, MB – Winnipeg police are investigating the sexual assault of an 18 year old woman Sunday morning.

Police said an 18-year-old woman reported she was walking in the area of Ellice Avenue and Home Street when she was approached by two unknown men who produced a weapon and robbed her of her purse.

The victim ran after the men, following into a nearby lane where she was then sexually assaulted by both men.

She was treated in hospital and later released.

Both suspects are described as Black males in their early 20’s, with thin builds, and short black hair – shaved on the sides.
