2 Year Pay Freeze

Manitoba Post StaffNews

WINNIPEG – Manitoba Hydro workers won’t be getting an increase in pay for the next two years.

The news came in a letter obtained by the opposition NDP. In it, finance minister Scott Fielding and crown services minister Jeff Wharton blame the COVID-19 pandemic for the decision.

The province just last week introduced legislation to hike hydro rates before the end of the year by 2.9 percent.
