WINNIPEG, MB – A 20-year-old man was stabbed last night in the 300 block of Portage Avenue around 9:10 PM.
Police said a 20-year-old man with upper body injuries was taken to hospital in critical condition and has since been upgraded to stable. When police arrived on scene they saw an adult male flee but was caught after a short foot chase.
Police said in a release, that the victim was confronted by several people not previously known to him. He attempted to run away but was caught and stabbed twice in the upper body. The attacker was held for police by bystanders in the area.
Herbert Junior Bushie, a 26-year-old man from Winnipeg has been charged with Aggravated Assault and Possess Weapon.
Seivaindo James Bushie, a 25-year-old man from Winnipeg has been charged with Aggravated Assault.
Both males remain in custody.
