WINNIPEG – A 22 year-old Winnipeg man has been arrested after brutally beating a 56 year-old man with a hammer causing life-altering injuries.

The incident occurred on October 22, 2018, however the suspect could not be located at that time and a warrant was issued for his arrest. The suspect was located on January 11 after he stole two bottle of soda from a convenience store.

22 year-old Justin Emile Pelletier has been charged with:

– Aggravated Assault

– Theft Under

– Fail to Comply with Probation Order

He has been detained at the Winnipeg Remand Centre.
