WINNIPEG – A 23 year-old Winnipeg woman has been charged in connection to the house fire on October 31 that took the life of 41 year-old Douglas Wood.

It is believed that Wood was socializing with the woman at a home when they got into an argument. She then started the fire and fled, leaving Wood in the house, unable to escape.

23 year-old Jenna Sereena Kakegamick has been charged with Second Degree Murder and Arson with Disregard for Human Life. She was detained in custody.
