3 Men Charged with Murder in Christmas Day Beating

WINNIPEG – Three men have been charged with second degree murder after they violently attacked and robbed a 26 year-old man on Christmas Day.

Tyler Evan Smoke was found on Victor Street by emergency personnel suffering from severe upper body injuries on December 25, 2018. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition and later died as a result of his injuries.

Police learned that he had been attacked and robbed by several people and after investigating, they have made three arrests.

25 year-old David Joseph Merasty, 25 year-old Keenan Alexander Tom and 28 year-old Michael Anthony Caribou have all been charged with second degree murder.
