WINNIPEG – A 32-year-old woman has been arrested after setting a fire that resulted in three people being injured including a firefighter.
On September 14th a building on Henry Avenue had to be evacuated after the suspect lit paper towels on fire in a washroom on the sixth floor. It took several hours to get the fire under control and required five police and cadet units to block off streets in the area.
The fire caused approximately $60,000 in damages to the building.
On December 5th the suspect was arrested and charged with Arson. She was released on a promise to appear.
