WINNIPEG – Two deadly house fires in southern Manitoba are under investigation.

The first happened late last night in Sanford. A volunteer firefighter driving by the home about 11 o’clock noticed flames. A man and woman, both 65, are dead. One of them had just retired about a year ago.

The second blaze around four o’clock this morning in Morden also killed a couple.
