55 Year-Old Woman Victim of Frightening Home Invasion

DAUPHIN – A 55 year-old woman was the victim of a frightening home invasion in the afternoon of March 2.

The woman was unlocking the door to her apartment at about 2:30 in the afternoon when another woman came up behind her and shoved her into her home. The suspect grabbed a knife from the counter and cut her phone line. She then forced the victim into the bathroom while she searched the apartment, stealing a number of things before she fled.

After investigating, police arrested a 29 year-old woman from Dauphin and charged her with robbery, forcible confinement and break and enter.

Dauphin RCMP along with the Forensic Identification Unit continue to investigate.
