WINNIPEG – The province is reporting six deaths today from COVID-19, five of them in Winnipeg.

There are 154 new cases of the virus, including 48 in Winnipeg.

3,137 cases are active, 23,968 people have recovered, for a total of 27,893 cases so far.

273 Manitobans are in hospital right now, 36 of them in the ICU.

The five day test positivity rate in the province is 9.5 per cent. Winnipeg’s rate is 6.7. 1,911 tests were done in the last 24 hours for a total of 456,861 since the pandemic began.

The death toll now sits at 788.
