Alcohol and Speed Factor in Fatal Single Vehicle Accident

SIUOX VALLEY DAKOTA NATION – Alcohol and speed are both considered to be factors in a single vehicle roll-over that took the life of a 26 year-old man from Sioux Valley First Nation.

The accident happened at about 7:40 A.M. on October 25. The initial investigation has determined that a lone male was travelling on a gravel road within the community when he lost control of the vehicle and collided with an embankment. The collision resulted in the vehicle rolling over several times. The driver was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced deceased on scene.
