Argument Between Roommates Ends in Stabbing

WINNIPEG – An argument between two roommates got seriously out of hand, escalating into one of them being hospitalized with numerous stab wounds.

The roommates, who share a residence on Martin Avenue East began a verbal argument and escalated to an assault where one of the them stabbed the other numerous times. The accused fled the scene but was later arrested without incident.

The victim was taken to hospital in critical condition but has since been upgraded to stable.

21 year-old Bradley Joshua Sharkey has been charged with the following:

Aggravated Assault

Possession of a weapon

He has been remanded into custody.
