WINNIPEG – A post-Christmas miracle for the West Broadway non-profit Art City: the back-up hard-drive, “an invaluable piece (with) many years of digital history”, stolen with other equipment on Boxing Day morning, has been found and returned.

According to their Facebook post early Saturday evening, the historical archive and other items were recovered “Thanks to help from our community, our friends in the media, local pawn shops and staff vigilance.” The follow-up activity to spread awareness on social media was significant, after the agency alerted supporters and newsrooms of the break-in.

Art City, founded by Wanda Koop 20 years ago, provided people of all ages with high quality art programming and education free of charge, and offers special activites for kids while enhancing nutrition in the community with a food program.
