WINNIPEG – The Riley Family Duck Pond in Assiniboine Park is officially open for skating!
The Duck Pond shelter, equipped with accessible washrooms, picnic tables, rubber mats and a toasty fireplace is open daily from 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Take time for sledding at the toboggan hill located between the Duck Pond and the Nature Playground and cross-country skiing on groomed trails, once we get some more snow.
This year, visitors can also take in Zoo Lights Festival, a separate after-hours ticketed event that will run evenings until January 5, 2020.
“We invite all Winnipeggers, Manitobans, and visitors to our city to discover the wonders of winter at Assiniboine Park and Zoo,” said Laura Cabak, Manager, Communications & Public Relations, Assiniboine Park Conservancy. “There’s something for everyone!”
