Back To School

WINNIPEG – It’s back to school today but it’s like no other first day of class. COVID-19 has everyone involved on edge this year.

Many parents will be transporting their kids to school themselves and some families have decided to stick with remote learning. If a child does take a bus, wearing a mask is mandatory. That mask is also required once they get to school.

Start times are staggered, as are recesses and lunch times. Students are also being taught in physically distanced cohorts.

The province has promised contact tracing within 24 hours if there’s a case of coronavirus in the system and parents will be notified if there’s a chance their kid was exposed.
