Bar Italia Shooter, Joshua Lucien Peter Turner​, Captured and Charged

WINNIPEG – Police have captured and charged Joshua Lucien Peter Turner who was wanted for the Bar Italia shooting in May of this year.

Noel Talingan, 37, and a woman, 28, were found shot on May 29th around 12:40 AM. The woman was taken to hospital in stable condition, Talingan was taken to hospital in critical condition and later died from his injuries.

Police arrested Eric John Boyle, a 30-year-old man, on June 29th. A number of charges were laid against Boyle, including First Degree Murder and Attempt to Commit Murder Using a Firearm.

Police then asked for the public’s help locating a second suspect, Joshua Lucien Peter Turner, a 24-year-old man.

On Monday afternoon Turner was successfully captured in the 400 block of Balmoral Street by officers with the Tactical Team.

Turner has been charged with:

– First Degree Murder

– Attempt to Commit Murder Using a Firearm

– Fail to Comply with Probation Order (x2)
