WINNIPEG, MB – As reported yesterday by Manitoba Post, an altercation at a Winnipeg High School resulted in one young man being sent to hospital.
Police are now confirming that a 16-year-old male, suffering from a single stab wound to the upper body, was treated in hospital and later released.
A second 16-year-old male, with minor injuries, was taken into custody.
Police have since learned that both young men, who are students at the school, had an argument which resulted in a physical confrontation.
The young man believed to be responsible for the stabbing has been charged with Assault with a Weapon and Possess Weapon.
The young man who was stabbed was also arrested and charged with Assault.
