WINNIPEG – Mayor Brian Bowman has found it necessary to clarify exactly who’s policing CoVid-19 violations. He says city bylaw officers are only able to enforce coronavirus measures at Winnipeg’s parks, provincial inspectors are responsible for everything else. Bowman says the city got social distancing calls after a weekend protest at the legislature but he claims that falls under the province’s jurisdiction. The mayor says it seems like provincial enforcement is focusing on businesses, leaving other infractions to the various law enforcement agencies.
