WINNIPEG – Two big bus makers are merging.

New Flyer Industries and Motor Coach Industries will now be known as NFI Group.

Both brands will exist under the new name.

Sales, marketing and administration will be shared.

The new company says the move became necessary when CoVid-19 caused demand for new buses to drop off dramatically.

NFI has nine thousand workers in 10 countries with 105 thousand buses.
