WINNIPEG – A church in the Steinbach area has been fined $5,000 after holding a service on Sunday with over 100 people.

The Church of God was ticketed for violating the provincial public health order temporarily banning religious gatherings.

Pastor Heinrich Hildebrandt calls the fine unconstitutional.

Earlier in the week, minister Tobias Tiessen was issued two $1,300 tickets for hosting the church service.
