WINNIPEG – RCMP have confirmed that tickets and fines were issued in connection with yesterday’s drive-in church service near Steinbach.

People in a couple dozen cars heard a minister give his sermon from a trailer in the parking lot of the Church of God Restoration.

This despite a court ruling the day before that sided with the province’s ban on all religious gatherings, even drive-up ones.

Last weekend, Mounties blocked the same parking lot to prevent a similar service from going ahead.
