WINNIPEG – City council has voted to increase the minimum wage for civic workers.

The current pay of at least $11.90 an hour will go up to $15.

The so-called living wage policy is set to go into effect in 2023.

Councillors also approved free bus rides for kids under 12 starting next January and library late fees are being waived until the end of the year to help low-income families.
