WINNIPEG – The city’s IKEA store has closed after a worker tested positive for COVID-19.

On its website. the company says the store will undergo a thorough deep clean and and sanitization before it reopens.

IKEA says it learned of the positive test yesterday and is supporting the employee while they recover.

Ikea says it’s taking extensive precautionary measures to reduce the risk of further exposure, always following the guidelines of Manitoba Public Health.
