WINNIPEG – There were only 53 new cases of COVID-19 in Manitoba on Monday.
The daily case count hasn’t been that low in almost four months.
Intensive care patients are down to 34, the lowest number since late November.
Dr. Brent Roussin, the province’s chief medical officer, says the numbers are trending in the right direction which means a slow and cautious reopening can continue.
We expect to hear more today on the further loosening of his coronavirus restrictions.
