COVID Testing Expands

Manitoba Post StaffNews

WINNIPEG – The Province is rolling out community clinic-based COVID-19 testing and a scheduling system for booking test appointments. Dakota Medical Centre at 17-845 Dakota St. will be the first community clinic to provide ongoing tests as part of an arrangement with Doctors Manitoba, with several other clinics across the province offering to have the program implemented there.

Chief Public Health Officer Dr. Brent Roussin says clinics that offer testing will have procedures in place to keep those getting the tests separated from those who are there for other appointments.

Meanwhile Manitoba’s COVID-19 test scheduling program launches today, available to those who want to arrange testing at three Winnipeg sites so far: 1181 Portage Ave, 2735 Pembina Hwy, and 604 St. Mary’s Rd. The system will expand to other sites as well in the weeks ahead.
