Crash Victim Killed by Live Hydro Wires

WINNIPEG – RCMP are investigating a traffic fatality that occurred on Roblin Boulevard adjacent to Beaudry Park on March 24.

The vehicle was travelling westbound when it left the road and hit a hydro pole. The pole was knocked down leaving live wires on the ground. The 47 year-old driver came into contact with the live wires as he was exiting his car and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Speed, alcohol or drugs do not appear to have been factors in the collision.

RCMP continue to investigate.
