Deadliest Weekend Yet

WINNIPEG – The province announced the deaths of 33 Manitobans on the weekend, including 19 on Saturday which is a new daily record. The deaths ranged from a man in his 20’s to a woman in her 100’s.

There were also 737 new cases of COVID-19, 507 of them in Winnipeg.

Hospitalizations sit at 348, including 43 people in intensive care.

Manitoba’s test positivity rate is 13.6 per cent, while in Winnipeg it’s 14.4.

All the province’s coronavirus numbers will be updated early this afternoon by chief public health officer Dr. Brent Roussin.
