WINNIPEG – We’re starting to see discarded masks and gloves around town. They’re showing up in parking lots, along streets and in shopping carts. And while these items are being used by people to stay safe, they may be putting others in danger. The workers cleaning up the mess may be exposed to CoVid-19, as research suggests the virus can linger on some surfaces for days. These masks and gloves also aren’t biodegradable or recyclable. Not to mention they can be eaten by animals. So please get rid of your garbage safely.
