Driver Struck a Vehicle, 2 homes and Fences Found Unresponsive by Police

WINNIPEG – Police have confirmed a collision that sent one man to hospital, stuck two homes and destroyed a number of fences was the result of a medical incident.

On Sunday around 5:20 PM police driving in the area of Mountain Avenue and Salter Street saw a vehicle travelling westbound at a high rate of speed followed by the sound of a collision.

Police went to Mountain Avenue and McGregor Street and found the vehicle had collided with another vehicle then veered off the road, striking a number of fences and impacting two houses. One house sustained significant damage.

Police said the driver, a man, was found to be unresponsive. The man was taken to hospital in unstable condition but was later upgraded to stable condition. No other injuries were reported and it is believed this collision is the result of a medical incident.
