Extra Shots Of Vaccine

WINNIPEG – The province says 400 more health care workers than expected will be getting the COVID-19 vaccine this week. That’s on top of the 900 appointments announced on Friday.

This is possible because immunizers have consistently been getting more than the expected five shots from each vial of the Pfizer vaccine.

Health care workers eligible for vaccination now include those in intensive care over 40 years of age, long-term care over 58 and acute care over 60. The people giving the shots can now also get it.
