SWAN RIVER – A two-vehicle collision that took the life of a 58 year-old man is believed to have been caused by impaired driving.
The accident occurred on November 2 at about 6:30 P.M. when a truck collided with another truck heading in the opposite direction on Highway 10, five kilometres north of Bowsman.
The driver of the truck going north, a 58-year-old male from Shoal River First Nation, was taken to hospital but he succumbed to his injuries. His passenger, a 31-year-old female, also from Shoal River First Nation, was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
The other driver, a 25-year-old male from Powell, is currently in hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Charges of Impaired Operation Causing Death are pending.
