German Exchange Student Robbed on Portage Avenue

An 18 year old exchange student from Germany was assaulted by another woman when she tried to cross Portage Ave and Vaughn Street on October 10.

As the exchange student approached the intersection the suspect began to hit the student’s bag. She then proceeded to slap her and took her phone, wallet, identification and some personal papers.

The suspect then jumped on a transit bus to get away where she harassed the passengers and continued her assault on the female bus driver, shoving her and spitting in her face before she fled the bus.

The suspect is described as being Caucasian or Metis in appearance, in her 20’s (age), with a skinny build, 5’3”-5’4” in height and having shoulder-length dark hair with copper/red ends. She was wearing a black jacket with a fur hood and dark jeans.
