WINNIPEG – There have been so many creative ways that local 2020 graduates have celebrated, despite CoVid-19.

But one of the best is up in Gimli where the town’s Viking statue is donning a big blue grad hat, complete with yellow tassle.

It’s courtesy of Hoplock Metal Works in Arnes. Justin Hoplock wrote on Facebook, “It was an honor to be part of the 2020 Gimli Graduation, even if it was just a small part. The grad hat is in place and the Viking is ready to celebrate! Congratulations to all Grads!”
