WINNIPEG – Grace Hospital says it’s sorry for the way a First Nations elder was treated.

72 year old Sadie North’s daughter took her in because she was very sick with a bacterial skin infection but she says the clerk who checked her in was dismissive of her illness and she didn’t receive help until she began vomiting on herself.

North also says a doctor who treated her a few days later questioned her accusingly about alcohol use but she doesn’t drink.

This incident is getting attention across the country.
