WINNIPEG – A high speed chase, assisted by Air1 led to the capture and arrest of two car thieves.

On April 27 at 10:30 pm. police located a truck that had been stolen the previous day on Henderson Highway. When the drivers saw police they immediately fled at a high rate of speed.

Air1 located the truck as it went down a back lane on Washington Avenue and tracked it until it came to a stop in the Bowman Industrial Park. Both occupants fled on foot but were quickly taken into custody.

48 year-old William Garnet Lemay has been charged with:

– Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000

He was also processed on an outstanding arrest warrant for:

– Fail to Appear – Promise to Appear

27 year-old Brittni Eastman has been charged with:

– Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000

She was also processed on an outstanding arrest warrant for:

– Fail to Comply Probation

They were detained in custody. –
