WINNIPEG – A 34 year old woman has been charged after an employee of a downtown Winnipeg store was assaulted and had hot coffee thrown on her.

Police say the woman got angry when the worker asked her to leave because she could not pay.

The suspect is accused of throwing a large cup of coffee at the 47 year old employee and assaulting her, causing her to fall and hit her head.

The accused fled but was turned over to coos by a passersby who intervened.
