WINNIPEG – The province has charged over three dozen people with illegal hunting in the last few weeks.

Manitoba Conservation has been cracking down since the new Wildlife Amendment Act for safe hunting came into effect last month.

17 people have been given warnings for night hunting without a permit or hunting in a moose conservation area.

The new rules make night hunting illegal on all private land.
