K-9 Tracks Armed Robbery Suspects Down

WINNIPEG – Police used their K-9 Unit to track down three suspects after they robbed a convenience store at gunpoint on New Year’s Day.

The three suspects entered the Henderson Highway convenience store just before 6:00 A.M and took merchandise while threatening to shoot one of the employees.

Police responded with their K-9 Unit and they were tracked to a home on Chalmers Avenue where they were taken into custody.

18 year-old Skylar Alexander James Cook has been charged with:

– Robbery

– Fail to Comply with Sentence

– Fail to Comply with Condition of Undertaking

A 16-year-old male of Winnipeg has been charged with:

– Robbery

– Fail to Comply with Condition of Release Order (x4)

They were detained in custody.

An 18-year-old male of Winnipeg will be charged with:

– Robbery

He was released on an Undertaking.
