LISTEN OR GET FINED

WINNIPEG – The city’s community service ambassadors, four dozen of them, are now out there educating people about social distancing. If they see something contributing to the CoVid-19 pandemic, they’ll warn the people involved to stop doing it. But the ambassadors have the ability to call in bylaw enforcement officers who can issue fines of up to $1,000. Six months behind bars is also possible. Public gatherings of more than 10 people aren’t allowed right now.
