‘Loved Ones’ Dying

Manitoba Post StaffNews

WINNIPEG – Chief Public Health Officer Dr. Brent Roussin says 70 per cent of the total COVID-19 deaths that have happened in Manitoba have happened in November as the rate of infection shows little sign of slowing down.

Dr. Roussin says there have been more than 180 COVID-19-related deaths in November so far, up from a total of just 69 reported on October 31.

The doctor is emphasizing these aren’t just statistics – they’re the family members of Manitobans.

“These are loved ones that are sorely missed right now,” Dr. Roussin said this week while sharing an update on the province’s battle against the pandemic.
