WINNIPEG – The province reported 101 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday, the lowest daily count in more than two months.
We will get an update at 12:30 today but all coronavirus numbers in Manitoba have been lower of late.
However, there’s real concern about what will happen in two or three weeks. If people followed the public health orders over Christmas and New Year’s, the number of new cases should stay low. If not, we could see another spike.
Current COVID restrictions expire on Friday. Dr. Brent Roussin is expected to adjust them sometime this week. Premier Brian Pallister has said the measures will almost certainly ease a bit but he didn’t get specific.
