On October 10, police witnessed a taxi cab driving evasively in the area of Main Street and College Ave. When they tried to pull the cab over, two passengers in the back got out quickly while the car was still moving and tried to get away.

Police noticed a gun in the waistband of one of the men and took them into custody.

A search of the man revealed that the gun was a .22 calibre lever action rifle.

22 year-old Keifer Stone Bruce of Winnipeg has been charged with:

– Possession of a Weapon

– Carrying Concealed Weapon Prohibited Device or Ammunition

– Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm

– Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm in Motor Vehicle

– Fail to Comply with Probation Order (x3)

He was detained in custody.

The other male was released without charges.
