Manitoba Gets COVID App

Manitoba Post StaffNews

WINNIPEG – Manitoba is finally making use of a federal COVID-19 app.

The app notifies you if you’ve been in close contact with someone infected with the virus.

Health minister Cameron Friesen says it took time to make sure the app works with the province’s information system.

He says it’s only going to work well if at least 60 percent of Manitobans download the app.

You can sign up the app now but it won’t be working until later in the week,

The app is already being used in Ontario, Saskatchewan, New Brunswick and Newfoundland and Labrador.
