WINNIPEG – When the CoVid-19 pandemic hit, people starting drinking more.

Manitoba Liquor and Lotteries says retail alcohol sales jumped in March and April.

Compared to the same two months last year, sales were two million dollars higher.

The Crown corporation also announced a huge reduction in liquor mart thefts which totaled almost three million dollars last year.
