Moderna Vaccine Is Here

Manitoba Post StaffNews

WINNIPEG – The Moderna vaccine has arrived in Manitoba.

5,300 of the doses will be sent to remote First Nations.

The Moderna vaccine travels better than the Pfizer’s because it doesn’t need to be kept as cold.

Chief public health officer, Dr. Brent Roussin, says now that the supersite is open at the RBC Convention Centre, about 7,000 people will be vaccinated this week.

Right now, only some health care workers are getting the shot but Roussin says vaccinations could begin at personal care homes as early as next week.
