WINNIPEG – The amount of weapons taken off the street continues to grow as police charged three people after searching their vehicle.
On March 11 at 11:10 pm. police pulled over an SUV and found a large hunting knife in plain view. The three occupants of the vehicle were arrested and the SUV was searched.
Officers located a sawed-off shot gun, a large amount of ammunition, a hatchet, brass knuckles and a prohibited folding knife.
35 year-old Joshua Ryan Duprat has been charged with numerous weapons charges a failing to comply with a probation order (X6). Duprat was detained in custody.
26 year-old Richard Alexander Traverse has been charged with multiple weapons charges.He was detained in custody.
A 29-year-old female was charged with 13 firearm and weapons-related offences. She was released on a Promise to Appear as required by the Criminal Code of Canada.
