WINNIPEG – The Manitoba government is committing nearly $1 million this year to help protect fish and wildlife.

The funding will go to 17 projects which will bolster access to fishing and hunting.

The money will come from a provincial fund that collects donations and restitution payments for fish and wildlife infractions.
