Night of Terror for Kidnapped Riverton Man

WINNIPEG – A 41 year-old man from Riverton was assaulted and threatened during a terrifying kidnapping from his home.

A male and female suspect broke into his home, threatened him with a knife and a gun and forced him to drive into Winnipeg in his truck as well as robbing him of his cell phone and cash.

He was driven to numerous locations throughout the night while they continously assaulted him and threatened to kill him. He was eventually able to escape but suffered extensive injuries to his face and head.

Police found the truck belonging to the victim the next day and arrested and charged a 32 year-old man with Possession of property obtained by a crime.

28 year-old Eduardo Campos was also in the truck and was found to be armed with a handgun. He was arrested and charged with the following:

Possession of Property Obtained by Crime

Unauthorized Possession of a firearm in a vehicle

Carry concealed weapon

Possession of a firearm

Possession of an Unauthorized Firearm

Possession of a Loaded Firearm

CAMPOS was remanded into custody.

On September 26, 2019, investigators located the female suspect in the original incident. 38 year-old Tryli Beatrice Anderson was arrested without incident. She was charged with the following:

Kidnapping

Break & Enter with Intent

Possession of a Firearm Knowing It’s Unauthorized

Use of Firearm

Possession of a Firearm

Armed Robbery

Possession of a Weapon (x2)

Fail to comply with Court order (x5)

Assault Cause Bodily Harm

On October 2, 2019, investigators located the male suspect in the original incident. 36 year-old Reggie Jack Hansen was located by Major Crimes detectives and arrested without incident on the strength of a warrant issued in regards to this incident. He has been charged with the following:

Kidnapping

Assault Cause Bodily Harm

Possession of a Weapon

Uttering Threats

Armed Robbery

Break and Enter with Intent

Fail to comply with Court order (x2)

HANSEN was remanded into custody.
