Pallister Wants More Money

WINNIPEG – Manitoba’s Brian Pallister and the Premiers of Ontario, Alberta and Quebec all want more money.

The four men held a joint news conference in Ottawa where they called for an increase in the federal share of health care funding, between 22 and 35 per cent more.

Their request comes ahead of Wednesday’s throne speech.

Intergovernmental Affairs Minister Dominic LeBlanc says the Trudeau government supports the call for more health spending but everyone needs to realistic about just how much money is available.
